Onuh demands more from Heartland players

Despite winning his first competitive game with Heartland Football Club of Owerri last Saturday with the 2-1 defeat of 3SC in their Glo Premier League Week 2 top-of-the-bill encounter at the Adamasingba Stadium in Ibadan, Coach Erasmus Onuh- Ollotah believes his team looked far from convincing.
The workaholic diminutive tactician, who relishes the team’s away victory, says a lot needs to be done to bring the Naze Millionaires to play to their full capacity.
“I’m happy with the hard-earned 2-1 win against an equally hard-fighting side. 3SC gave us a toughest battle; unfortunately, they couldn’t get a point from the game,” Onuh remarked.
“Though we pocketed the maximum three points at stake, I can only award my players 55% mark for their performance. They didn’t play up to my expectations; there were mistakes here and there.
“What I’m saying in effect is that the team is still work in progress. I’ll quickly return to the workshop to correct the mistakes before our next match.
“However, I’m excited that my first match in charge of the side ended on a victory even in away fixture; and we hope to sustain the tempo,” the result-driven coach stated.
Heartland will host Nasarawa United tomorrow at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri in a Week 3 Glo Premier League fixture, and Onuh looks towards another victory to sustain the team’s hope of winning the league this season.
Meanwhile, the Dan Anyiam Stadium is expected to witness a massive turnout of fans tomorrow following the decision of the management of Heartland FC to throw the gates of the popular side wide open for fans to turn out in their number to cheer their darling team to victory against Nasarawa United. However, tickets for seats at the State box and VIP stand will go for N5, 000.00 and N2, 000.00 respectively.
