Warri Wolves 2-0 Dedebit: Etebo and Salami earn Seasiders slight advantage

Warri Wolves beat Dedebit 2-0 to set up a big return clash in Ethiopia

The Seasiders will be visiting the Ethiopians with a two goal advantage after they converted only two of the array of chances that came their way in Warri
Warri Wolves pinned visiting Dedebit of Ethiopia 2-0 in the Caf Confederation Cup first round, first leg game played at the Warri City Stadium on Saturday after a goal in each half guaranteed the Seasiders will be going to the deciding tie with an advantage.
The Seasiders got their goals through Oghenekaro Etebo and Gbolahan Salami in the 40th and 82nd minutes of the tie but the Warri side must work on their wastefulness in front of goal if they are to come back from Ethiopia unscathed.
Wolves welcomed back the returning Salami whose sojourn to Europe was cut short by Red Star Belgrade's inability to pay his wages and he made his impact felt with his sublime touches in the game.
Dedebit committed an infringement in their vital area from where the former 3SC striker converted the important second goal eight minutes from time.
The second leg comes up in Addis Ababa in the weekend of April 3-5 with Dedebit hoping to be spurred on by their vociferous crowd to turn the tables around.
Warri Wolves were eliminated by Tunisian side, CR Bizertin 2-1 on aggregate in the second round of the same competition last year.
