Few hours to the final of the African U20 Championship, the assistant coach of the Flying Eagles, Ndukka Ugbade, has boasted that the Young Lions of Senegal would be silenced for the second time in the tournament.
In a match pre-conference yesterday, Ugbade said the Flying Eagles are aware of the importance that is attached to winning the trophy and going to New Zealand 2015 World Cup as champions.
“We know the Senegalese team is very strong, they are taller; and we would be battling them and about 57,000 of their supporters as against about 3, 000 Nigerian supporters inside the stadium. But I can assure you that our boys are prepared for the mental battle, so would be ready for all these in the final,” he assured.
The Tunisia ‘94 Nations Cup winner also revealed that the technical crew led by Manu Garba would put on their thinking caps and ensure that the approach to the game would be different from that of the opening game at the competition.
