John Terry or Harry Kane ? The key battles in the Capital One Cup final between Chelsea and Tottenham on Sunday,

As they aim for Capital One Cup glory on Sunday, Chelsea and Tottenham players will prepare as a team but know that individual battles must be won if the trophy is to be theirs.

Will Harry Kane have too much for John Terry? Could Christian Eriksen outwit Branislav Ivanovic? We pick out the key battles on Sunday…

Terry has just about seen it all and the experienced defender is in good form too. In fact, given Vincent Kompany’s recent struggles, he has a strong case to – once again – be regarded as the Premier League’s best centre-back. But even Terry had no answer to Kane when Chelsea and Tottenham last met on New Year’s Day. Kane scored a brace in a 5-3 win as the Blues defence was torn apart. “You have to look at the way he played against Chelsea at White Hart Lane,” Alan Shearer told Sky Sports. “Not many players give John Terry and Gary Cahill the run around.”

Harry Kane got the better of John Terry on New Year's Day but will it be different at Wembley?

Of course, the young forward hasn’t had it all his own way. Indeed, Spurs were beaten 3-0 at Stamford Bridge in December. But it’s difficult to come up with a plan against Kane – a player good enough to enjoy the space if an opponent defends deep and quick enough to expose Terry if Chelsea opt to push up. It will be fascinating to see what Jose Mourinho and his captain come up with to ensure they are better prepared to deal with Kane’s qualities on Sunday.
Eriksen v Ivanovic

Eriksen show

Christian Eriksen's goals have won Spurs 13 extra points this season

When it comes to goals, Eriksen and Ivanovic’s interjections have become something of a feature of the season. Eriksen’s goals have picked up a whopping 13 Premier League points so far this season – six of them in the dying moments of matches. The Dane also played an important part in securing Tottenham them a place at Wembley with his brilliant brace in the second leg of the semi-final against Sheffield United proving just enough to deny the League One team.
Tottenham's Christian Eriksen could cause problems for Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic
Ivanovic is likely to have marking duties against Eriksen on Sunday with the Dane cutting inside to find space from the left. But if he does so it might only succeed in unleashing Ivanovic. The burly full-back doesn’t have the physique of a marauding wide player, but past history suggests he should not be underestimated and with four goals in his last six games, including the extra-time winner against Liverpool in the semi-final, don’t be shocked if it’s the Serb with the final say on Sunday.
Hazard v Vertonghen
On the other flank, Tottenham will have to deal with the considerable threat of Eden Hazard. The sensational winger has come in for some harsh treatment this season with Mourinho disgusted after the Belgian was fouled nine times against Paris St Germain in midweek. The Chelsea boss claims that “in Premier League it’s no different” and the statistics support Mourinho with Hazard being the most fouled player in the Premier League this season.
Jan Vertonghen and Eden Hazard are international team-mates but opponents on Sunday
It will take Tottenham teamwork to stop him on Sunday and that could mean Hazard’s international team-mate Jan Vertonghen having to come to the rescue when the wide man drifts inside. The Spurs man knows how tough that will be and predicted Hazard’s success when he arrived in the Premier League in 2012. “He has an amazing technique and I think he will change the style of playing for Chelsea,” said Vertonghen back then. A starring performance by Hazard at Wembley would mark that ‘new Chelsea’ and Vertonghen will have his work cut out preventing it.

Barcelona we have the chance to gain ground on rivals when they visit Granada at home ..

Luis Suarez: On target in win at Manchester City
Luis Suarez: On target in win at Manchester City

Second-placed Barcelona have the chance to gain ground on their rivals when they visit lowly Granada on Saturday.
Following last week's stunning home defeat by Malaga, a result which broke an 11-game winning run, Luis Enrique's side responded by beating Manchester City 2-1 in the first leg of their Champions League tie in Manchester on Tuesday.
On Saturday they will face a side with just one win under their belts in 15, but on the eve of the game Enrique rejected the idea that it will be an easy three points for Barcelona.
"Sometimes a tough game turns out to be not so difficult. And sometimes it's the other way round," Enrique said
"We expect to meet opposition in desperate need of points and they will make things difficult for us. They have done the same to us during the past few seasons.
“At this time of the season, teams in need of points in order to avoid relegation tend to get desperate. They will be tough."
Barcelona have won six of the last seven meetings between the teams and at the Nou Camp in September Neymar scored a hat-trick and Messi scored twice in a 6-0 thrashing.
However, in the corresponding fixture last season, Granada won 1-0.
Team news
Gerard Pique misses the match through suspension, meaning that summer signing Mathieu is likely to step up.
Thomas Vermaelen remains in the recovery room, while Saturday’s clash comes too early for Douglas.
Granada are seriously struggling and will be missing some key players with top scorer Youssuf El Arabi as well as new signing Adrian Colunga both suspended after receiving red cards in their disastrous late defeat at Levante on Monday.

Celtic keen to root out fans who lit flares following latest charge news

Celtic fans set-off a flare during the defeat to Inter Milan

Celtic have requested the help of their fans in identifying those responsible for the latest UEFA charge for setting off fireworks.
The Scottish Champions received a charge for the incident at the San Siro just two days after being fined for an identical offence in their previous Europa League trip against Dynamo Zagreb.
Ronny Deila’s side were also hit with another charge for their team's behaviour in the 1-0 second-leg defeat by Inter Milan on Thursday night.
Celtic will contest the "improper conduct" charge which was sparked by their card count in the away leg.
However, their biggest concern is to stamp out the trend in lighting flares at away games after being hit with a seventh UEFA charge for fan behaviour in little over three years.
Celtic had appealed for fans to behave at the San Siro after being fined £7,300 on Wednesday after a supporter let off a flare during their group match against Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia.
But pyrotechnics were evident in the visiting section in Milan and both clubs have received the same charge.
A Celtic statement read: "Over 3,000 fans travelled to Milan and once again supported the club brilliantly. Everyone at Celtic thanks these fans sincerely for the magnificent support they gave the team on another European occasion.
"It is important to note that Inter Milan and the local Italian authorities have also applauded our fans for their excellent conduct and positive support.
"Unfortunately, one or two individuals have again damaged the club they claim to support, resulting in a further UEFA charge for the use of flares.
"Today we have been inundated with support from Celtic fans who want an end to this activity and, like the club, do not want those responsible associated with Celtic in any way.
"We would urge anyone with information on who these people are to get in touch with the club so that we can deal with this matter and get back to celebrating all that is great about our club."
Celtic's players are also in the dock after Virgil van Dijk was sent off following two bookable offences in the first half of their defeat, which saw them lose 4-3 on aggregate, and a further five players were booked.
A club spokesperson said: "UEFA rules state that they are able to open disciplinary proceedings against any club which receives five or more bookings. Celtic can confirm that this is a charge which the club will be contesting."
Manager Ronny Deila criticised referee Ivan Kruzliak for his decision to send off the Dutch defender while skipper Scott Brown felt the Slovakian official had been too harsh throughout.
Brown, who was not booked, said: "Football is a man's game, there's always going to be tackles that are a wee bit late due to the pace of the game. These things happen but every single tackle shouldn't be a yellow card."
UEFA's control, ethics and disciplinary body will consider the charges on March 19.

Jimmy Savile ask a question: What The Official Reports Say ?

Here are the allegations at the centre of new reports into sexual abuse by Jimmy Savile carried out at hospitals around Britain.

Savile sex abuse investigation
Leeds General Infirmary and Jimmy Savile

Sixteen new reports have been published following investigations into Jimmy Savile's sexual abuse during his work at various hospitals.
Stoke Mandeville Hospital (Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHST)
:: An 18-year-old patient was molested in her bed after Savile climbed into her room through a window in 1973. The report says when she told nursing staff what had happened, it appeared to be an open secret that Savile was a "sex pest".
:: An 11-year-old was raped by Savile and left hysterical and crying. A nurse came in and told her to be quiet and that Savile would not do such a dreadful thing and he raised a great deal of money for the hospital. The girl told her father and he made a formal complaint. Savile did not come near the girl again but her father decided that, due to her ill health and not wishing to distress her further, the complaint should be dropped. The girl's father has since died.
:: Between 1973 and 1975 a boy aged between nine and 11 and other children were invited to Savile's porters' office where they were given sweets. The boy was told off for eating all the sweets. Savile put the boy across his knee, pulled down his trousers and underwear, groped and spanked him. The boy said Savile's secretary had seen this happen on one of about ten occasions but had just turned around and walked out. He also told his headmaster, who "laughed it off".
:: A 15-year-old patient was invited by Savile to his room for a hot drink in 1977 but then began questioning her about her sexual experience and stripped her and had sex with her. The girl never told anyone what had happened and, while Savile had given her his phone number and she tried to contact him in London, she never saw him again.
:: A 12-year-old girl was admitted in 1977 when she was raped by a hospital porter who she described as a white-haired man with a gold chain and white coat and smoking a cigar. She told a nurse that “the porter hurt me, down here”. She was told not to say anything otherwise she (the nurse) would get into trouble. It was only a few years later that she realised who her attacker had been.
Leeds General Infirmary (Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHST)
:: A 14-year-old boy was groped on a ward in 1994, before being told by Savile: 'I bet you feel better after that'.
:: A man aged 28 was also groped while lying on a trolley waiting for an x-ray in 1988. He described Savile as having been dressed like a member of the medical staff. He told nobody about what Savile had done because he was too embarrassed.
:: A student nurse, aged 21, was assaulted in a cupboard in 1981. ”In a state of shock she turned around and on immediately doing so another student nurse came into the linen cupboard at which point he laughed and said goodbye. The nurse also claims she was warned against a 'pink haired man' hanging round mortuary, in or around 1981, but the report could not confirm it was Savile.
Rampton Hospital (Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHST)
:: Savile parked his motorhome on grounds and would use it for having consensual sex with nurses.
:: One man said that Savile had sat him on his knee and moved his hand to his 'nether region'.
Crawley Hospital (Sussex Community NHST)
:: No evidence found of sexual abuse. Anecdotal accounts but no record of Savile visiting hospital or any association with hospital.
Birch Hill Hospital Rochdale (Pennine Acute NHST)
:: Investigated one allegation made by a man who was a patient there as a child in 1965. Report found he was abused, but on balance of probabilities not by Savile.
Scott House Hospital Rochdale (Calderstones NHS FT)
:: No evidence found
Bethlem Royal Hospital (South London and Maudsley NHS FT)
:: The report was unable to substantiate report that Savile touched teenage girl's breast during visit
Shenley Hospital (Central and NW London NHST)
:: In 1981 a teenaged athlete who did a fun run for charity and had photos taken with Savile said he sexually assaulted her and a friend. The report found there was "no reason to doubt" this.
West Yorkshire Ambulance Service (Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHST)
:: No evidence found
St Martin’s Hospital Canterbury (Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust)
:: An allegation that male patient abused by Savile in 1969 was dismissed
Royal Victoria Infirmary (Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS FT)
::  Allegation made but no evidence to substantiate it. The complainant would not be interviewed.
Meanwood Park Hospital (Leeds and York Partnership NHS FT)
:: Report finds that nurses working at Mencap nursery were told not to let Jimmy Savile anywhere near children.
